Words and Ideas Can Change the World
Thank you for your support, merry Christmas, and happy new year
I wanted to finish the year on a personal note and thank you for subscribing and reading my stuff in 2022 – I am so grateful for your attention which, in today’s content-choked atmosphere, is a commodity of incalculable value.
I started this writing nine months ago because I’d been putting it off for too long, because I had so much to say that was being wasted on frenetic Facebook rants, because writing is my one true talent.
I realised that not to ply this gift regularly in the pursuit of some higher purpose would be a betrayal not only of myself, but of my ancestors, my people, and God. But without readers who might benefit from the thoughts my words provoke and share those ideas more widely, there can be no higher purpose.
So thank you for reading. It really does mean the world to me. If I ever do make it big, I will find a way to properly thank those of you who were with me at the beginning.
There, now that the love-bombing is out of the way I can get philosophical.
It’s important that you understand why I’m thanking you. While there is inevitably a degree of ego that underpins my gratitude, it is not the key factor. Primarily, this work is not about me. I did not get into this because I think it’s going to make me rich or famous – if by some miracle it does, then I will be well pleased – I’m only human, but this has never been my motivation.
This work is about our children’s future – the future of our civilisation.
As I have covered extensively, our way of life is under attack. We are at war and the odds are currently tipped against us.
There is only one path to victory – the collective human will to freedom. Our greatest strength – we the common people of this earth – is our numbers. Those who seek to enslave us are few, and we are many.
But most of us are still asleep.
With so many blind to the truth we cannot gain the critical mass we need to seize our freedom.
A great awakening must occur.
The one encouraging indication from the past three years is that this awakening has begun. I was asleep; others I know were asleep – but no more. Across the globe millions are opening their eyes to the true nature of our system and the machine that administers it.
If you’re reading this it’s likely you are also awake and, as such, you are a standard bearer for the movement.
Our movement has grown to its current strength by the same means that all great freedom movements have thrived – through words and ideas. These are in fact the very nucleus of freedom. There is a reason that the machine seeks to censor and punish those who speak out – because, as Robin Williams said in Dead Poets Society, “No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.”
By reading my work you not only do me a great honour, but you honour the human spirit, for through our shared enterprise here we become the custodians of words and ideas that may one day help to change the world – and for that I thank you, not on behalf of myself, but on behalf of humanity.
We may not always agree, but that is not the point. The point is to keep the conversation going – for as the mendacious masthead of the Washington Post reads: Democracy dies in darkness.
And it really is that simple – we need to keep talking, we need to keep shedding light on the inconsistencies, the hypocrisy, the contradictions, and the lies. My only hope is that my writing may spark some of these conversations and that in this small way, I will play my part.
As readers of mine, you may take exception to some of my ideas, but it’s unlikely that you’d still be here if you thought I was a complete crank. Thus, my ideas may spur you on to conversations with others, and together we may function as one small tendril of this monumental will to freedom of the people of our world.
Yesterday I was doing some admin on my Substack account, and I realised I still hadn’t provided a brief masthead description of my own for new readers.
This is what I rattled off – it was meant to be a place holder, but now I quite like it:
From the gearbox of the machine, I broadcast my pirate signal. Our people are prisoners; anxiety keeps them immobilised and addiction keeps them plugged in. Only through truth can they ascend. My mission is simple – to aid in the Great Awakening.
This will be my last post for 2022. I am literally about to get on a plane and fly away to a sunny place and one of my goals for the holiday period is to spend exactly zero time thinking about politics, Covid, and The Great Reset.
But I’ll be back on deck in 2023 to continue the fight, so look out for an email hitting your inbox early to mid-January.
Thank you again for your support, and I wish you a belated merry Christmas, and a very happy new year.
JJ
Badass masthead description. Here’s to continuing to fight the good fight in 2023 👊🏻
