Simple: keep exercising on your holiday. You have more time to do it and it needn’t be a chore: good way to offset the holiday indulgence too.

Agreed. I need to rethink my 'relationship' with my downtime. Inevitably it's the alcohol that creates the problem. Hungover mornings aren't conducive to running. On a positive note - the first few days of my last holiday I managed to get out for a run, then I reverted back to type. Still, it was a step in the right direction though.
